Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the International Committee, we cordially invite you to participate in the 2025 International Symposium on Korean Pine Biology and Silviculture to be held in Vladivostok, Russia, on July 21-25th, 2025.

The goal of this Symposium is to bring together scientists and practitioners from different countries interested in various aspects of Pinus koraiensis research, to review the progress in this field, report their study results, present new ideas, concepts and techniques, discuss topics of mutual interest, promote international efforts for the sustainability of the Korean Pine forest ecosystems and for the well-being of people depending on them.

The Symposium topics will be centered on Korean Pine biology and technology including:

  • Cell biology and genetic improvement;
  • Propagation biology and technology;
  • Vegetation management;
  • Forests classification, natural and postfire dynamics;
  • Carbon cycling and sequestration;
  • Pests and diseases;
  • Soils.

Graduate and post-graduate students’ presentations are especially encouraged.

Oral and poster submissions and abstracts

An abstract will be required for each poster and presentation. Please submit the abstracts in Word format by sending them as an attached file intdep@biosoil.ru, no later than July 1, 2025.

The abstract should be a maximum of 500 words excluding title. author name(s) and affiliation(s).

Oral presentations will be restricted to 20 minutes and 5 minutes of questions and transition. Presentations should be prepared in a Power Point format.

The maximum space available for each poster will be 120 x 80 cm. Posters will be displayed throughout the Conference.
